Where it comes from
Based on the Ideal Parent Figure method from Brown & Elliott's attachment-focused treatment, adapted for self-guided practice.
What the research shows. Developed for use in therapy. One peer-reviewed, uncontrolled pilot study (17 adults with complex PTSD, four weekly sessions with a therapist) found medium-to-large improvements that held at eight months. It has not been tested in a randomised trial, or as self-guided audio.

Every session script is checked against the method before you hear it, and anything you write that suggests you might not be safe is met with people who can help instead of a recording.
